Welcome to the first CFX Paintworks Ultra Paint Comp!
This comp is different than anything else we have ever tried at CFX.
You will need to take detailed pictures of the painting process and write an article to go along with the pictures, explaining the process used to complete the shell.
If you are unsure of what we are looking for take a look at the sample post I have made in the following link. I would recommend more detail in the text but this gives you an idea of what we are looking for.
http://cfxpaintworks.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&p=31038&sid=edb2b31c2b59de49f53f5a2bd45119e6#31038
I know, I know, "Thats a lot of work:, you are saying. Why yes it is but to sweeten the deal for you we have Parma on board for the comps!!! The winner of the comp will recieve the Parma F1 airbrush along with a set of paints, from Parma. Not only do you get the Parma package but you will also have your article published in RC Driver magazine as well as recieve front page status on the CFX Mag section as well!!!
So without further delay..........
Think you can paint? Then prove it!!

Also, any painter who would like a challenge and/or get professional criticism on their work and how to improve it; Members who have entered their works in other paint competitions in the professional class; Anyone who paints for money on a regular, routine basis, on a professional level, as in a business; Painters who have mastered one or more masking techniques, fades, pinstripes, CF, marbling, flames, has used 3 or more colors successfully, and otherwise produces clean and professional looking paint jobs on a regular basis. Design: How well do the colors work? How well does the design flow?
Execution: Are there major paint bleeds? Are the pinstripes even and consistent? Are the shadows done correctly?
Difficulty: Is there a lot of fine detail work? Are the graphics done using mass produced vinyl to produce a simple peal and paint scheme or are they custom made vinyl masks? Is there fine detail on a micro body?
Instructions: How easy is it to follow the painter through each step in completing the body?
Comments
Comments maybe left for each entry. Comments should be objective and constructive. Please no, " Dude that's sweet!" A long dissertation is not required, but a sentence or two to help the painter are welcome.
Judging
After the allowed time for the comp has ended a poll will be setup with a link to each entry thread for the contest.
The forum will have 5 days from the end of the contest to vote. If a tie should occur the winner from the prior contest shall cast the deciding vote. Should the winner from the previous contest not be able to vote a random judge will be picked and allowed to cast the deciding vote.
The judges for this competition is the entire forum so make sure you scheme is sweet and your directions are clear!!!
So, let the painting, photography and typing begin and above all, have fun!!!

Extreme, I think it would be fine in the current state you have it. I would simply start taking the pics.
You can give us all the details in your article about the layout of the graphics and how you made them.

Topwaters entry made me think of one thing, does RC driver have any guidelines in terms of copyright? I know I've seen painters say they had to get permission to paint monster truck schemes, I mean I doubt 99% do, but would RC Driver publish that?
